Greetings,
Last week our little podcast hit 100 listens in its infancy and that makes us very excited! We give a shout out to our (small) group of supports as the contents continue to get better (We hope). We are very excited by that milestone and we reflect how much our overall small operation as a single sales agent in the grand world of real estate has evolved. To this point, we have made it with enough consistent sales year over year to be successful and provide with that, these real estate stories for your enjoyment. However, if we are going to have to do more to level up in the industry. Today's small businesses are all about brand recognition, social media, reviews and the next steps as well as great products and services. This podcast episode discusses the steps we have taken to get that that next level and what's next. If you are in any small business we recommend you do at least the same to start!

One went really swimmingly, they are really happy and the other one is still, still a long work in progress. Where did they go wrong, where did we go wrong?! Let us explore and find out!

Greetings,
In this episode, we have our first interview! A mutual friend put me in contact with Camila Soares, an employee from Intuit that was looking to interview small businesses. This interview explores some background information about me, my family and my Real Estate career. We also explore what happened to the real estate market this year as it took a roller coaster ride due to the pandemic, seemingly just like everything else. This is a fun interview that is not too lengthy and has plenty of insights in the world of Real Estate as it pertains to the Greater Toronto Market.

The Duke Pod Episode 10 Real Estate stories and the week before closing!
Tuesday Oct 06, 2020
Tuesday Oct 06, 2020
Greetings,
In the 10th episode, we go over a few issues that happen on the day of the closing. I refer to this episode as the week before closing as there are a flurry of things buyers and seller prepare for and hope it all goes smoothly. When we are on the buying side we hope the house is left clean, empty and ready to enjoy, however sometimes that is exactly what does not happen. We discuss a few important strategies to keep in mind when we are about to close a home and go over some basic tips. We also sprinkle in some fun stories that will help you understand what you may be in for if you DO NOT follow these suggestions!
Enjoy!

The Duke Pod Episode 9 Real estate stories. How well do you know them?
Monday Sep 28, 2020
Monday Sep 28, 2020
Greetings,
Welcome to episode 9 and what seems like the (Very, surely) last day of Summer on this Monday, September 28th. In this episode, I reflect on the last time I had a full weekend off. We discuss how sometimes business and family can mix and how it can clash.
One of the unknowns about my job is when meeting new people, especially buyers that you meet in one way or another and you just do not know how motivated they are. Even what time of people they will be, or are they even serious about real estate? We explore some stories about some "buyers" we met and how this huge deal turned out with these buyers I know nothing about, yet needed them for a massive sale!
Enjoy this episode and have a wonderful October coming up!

Greetings, In this episode, we reflect on a random encounter I had with a person 7 years ago which led to a huge potential sale over the weekend and other sales over the years. The sale of their home and the clients came with many challenges and needed a lot of services. A lot to talk about there. Meeting people has become a trend for a business no matter how random, after all when life gives you lemons you have to make lemonade! At the end of the episode, we look at how meeting people in the most random occasions has gone full circle and how to always be ready to take advantage. Enjoy!
